PS18 forever in our hearts

"He scores goals galore,

He scores goals,
He scores goals galore,
He scores goals,
He scores goals galore,
He scores goals,
Paul Scholes,
He scores goals....."

The veteran midfielder announced that he would be retiring yesterday. He was the mastermind of the midfield, the play-maker and an excellent long ball passer. A man of few words and a true legend. He's the unparalleled, best midfield player of this generation.

And this goes out to him:

The whistles blows,
And the  ball rolls,
Toward Paul Scholes.
He punches holes,
And scores goals.

He passes to the left,
He passes to the right,
He's the ginger head,
He does us right.

Corner kicks and direct hits,
He delivers; even them free kicks.
He is the one and only
A legend

"I am not a man of many words but I can honestly say that playing football is all I have ever wanted to do"

Commiserations

So we lost.. It happens right! Still, Glory Glory Manchester United the biggest club on Earth! I was shattered when United lost but clearly we were outmatched by Barcelona. So time to move on and not sit around censoriously targeting the players and Sir Alex! I know everyone's disappointed but don't let your emotions cloud your judgement I always say!

Also we say goodbye to Edwin Van Der Sar. A true hero. How many games this season do we owe to him? A man of great skill, great vigor, great character and a decent human being. You will be missed.

So congratulations to the winners and commiserations to the losers.

That's all I can write in the emotional state I am in..

Cheers,
Ace.

Minutes to kick off!

The biggest game of the decade is  minutes away!
The spirits are high, everyone is focused. It's time to crush Barcelona and it's time for Sir Alex to become the most successful English manger in history!

Glory to Man United!

Los Diablos Rojos

2005:
"..vague chants and cheers......AND IT'S IN!!!!-Commentator"
"What are you watching chetta?(older brother in native Malayalam)"  I asked  drowsily.
"YES!!!!! Wooooohoooo! It's a goal!!!!...erhmm.. nothing.. just go back to sleep"

The following morning:

"....probably yeah. But there's no way they'd lose against Blackburn"

Later on in the evening of one Saturday:

"Can I watch the game with you this time chetta"
"Sure"
"Who are we rooting for"
"The team in Red, with 'Vodafone' across their shirts"
"Okay"
"They're Manchester United"

2011:
We are the champions of the league for a record breaking 19th time.
Liverpool, give us the perch lads. We are the benchmark for you know.

After watching a very moving video from MUTV, I've rediscovered the greatness, the tragedies, the ecstatic moments, the controversies, the rage, the despair, the excitement and the eternal love I have for Man United.

And so this post, ahead of the Champions League final in Wembley against Barcelona tomorrow 28th of May 2011, wishing the players and the staff the best of luck. You are in are minds and in our hearts.
Glory to United!

Finally the motivation behind this post:

"The Old Man always told us that football is more than a game. It has the power to bring happiness to ordinary people"

Introspection

What better way to begin. We all have a certain small philosophical side to us. Mine is this. To be lost in introspect and mull over the conversations of others, the subject and the depth to it. It gives me peace of mind to do so.

We all do not know everything, even about those which are predefined. I share an interest in those which are not yet; to invent by myself.

We have many friends, and me too. My favorite friend is introspect personified. The non-judgmental, unprejudiced, octogenarian, who is my very own grandfather-like figure from my own brain. It may seem pathetic and lonesome person but I enjoy utilizing my creativity in this way the most. I also clearly, like to write about it right here.

I'm no neurologist, much less anyone with any scientific understanding of the one only most intriguing-The Human Brain.
